Can we not join TCS again after resignation?

TCS, according to several current and ex-employees, does not apparently encourage re-hiring old employees as part of its updated HR strategy. The policy, however, can change over a period of time as no HR policy is permanent.

Can I use my leaves to reduce notice period in TCS?

Yes,you can buy the notice period if you want an early release from the company. In few cases the new company (where you are selected to Join ) also buys your notice period incase they have urgent requirement. You can also use your Earned leave to reduce your notice period.

Can I accept any offer from TCS while on deputation?

Now in another clause of MODA, it says that whilst on deputation I can accept any offer from any client / competetitor of TCS :wacko:. The term competetitor is a vague term – because they can point their finger to any abc organization as their competetitor.

Do TCS employees have to sign Moda for deputation outside India?

Alike every TCS associate going for deputation outside India I too had to sign their MODA [Master Overseas Deputation Agreement]. But this was couple of years back and at that time the policies [particularly separation] were different in TCS than now. Originally there was no concept of resigning from deputed location.

What is the notice period for leaving TCS after 6 months?

This is also applicable for those returning to India and not staying within TCS for atleast 6 months. But this has now changed [since last year] , people can resign from deputed location with a 90 days notice.

Should I go for a deputation or not?

If you are currently working from your hometown and happily staying with your family ,enjoying home food then less benefits of deputation because of the reasons listed above. Except for little increase in you salary (depending on your role in industry), and if you like travelling and enjoy new places then go for it.
