Does NIT consider JEE Advanced marks?
Generally, the answer is no. JEE Advanced is considered as one of the toughest exams in Indian History for primary students. Even you can take admission into top NITs if you score well in your JEE Main. Some of these NITs include NIT Trichy, NITK and many more.
Do we have to apply separately for NIT?
No, you don’t have to apply for other application form other than JEE for admission into NITs. There are few IIITs like IIIT-D, IIIT-Hyderabad, IIIT- Naya Raipur, IIIT- Bhubaneswar Etc.
Is board marks considered for NIT?
No, your 10th marks doesn’t matter at all for getting admission in IIT NIT IIIT and bits. To be eligible for IITs,IIITs ,NITs, IIITs, CFTIs one needs at least 75\% marks in class 12th if belongs to General or OBC category or or at least 65\% marks in class 12th if belongs to Sc or St category.
Is JoSAA Counselling different from IIT NIT?
JoSAA counselling is conducted for admission in B. Tech courses in IITs, NITs, IIITs and GFTIs based on JEE Main and JEE Advanced ranks. Students who qualify JEE Main will be eligible for admission in NITs, IIITs and GFTIs while students who qualify JEE Advanced will be eligible for admission in IITs.
