Can you leave bones in soup?
If you make stock from bones, when it is finished there is actually very little left of the bones, either nutritionally or flavor-wise. You could go ahead and leave the bones in during refrigeration or freezing, but there is little reason to do so. I normally strain the bones and aromatics out, and then refrigerate.
