What is the difference between AP US History and US history?

The main difference between regular U.S. History and APUSH is the amount of curriculum that is covered. APUSH students have to study the colonial period up until the 20th century before the AP test in May. Starting from this year, both regular and AP U.S. History classes’ grades are weighted.

What is the difference between APUSH DBQ and AP World DBQ?

The APUSH Dbq requires outside information, while the AP World dbq does not. I am not sure if this would influence your decision or not. AP World also covers a lot of information that either preceded or uncovered in my honors class as a freshman (idk where you started, but we started at the rennesciance).

Does APUSH ruin your life?

Yes, these are people who said the course wrecked their grades and destroyed their lives (APUSH students have a very strong grasp on the hyperbole). Don’t take the course just because your parents forced you to or because you think it’ll look good on college applications.
