How do you know if a vision is from God?
A God-given vision is BIG! “You are not well-resourced enough; better scale back.” God created us with brains for a reason, and He wants us to use them. If your idea seems too safe or too easy, you may want to check in with God and see if it’s really part of His vision for you.
What does it mean to have a vision of God?
Here, the vision rather has to do with our own face to face encounter with God. God’s vision for us is that we be like him as he has revealed himself to us in Christ, and being like him that we come to behold him face to face in perfect communion (1 John 3:2).

How can I receive God’s vision for my life?
If you want to receive God’s vision for your life, you’re not going to get it from some prophet or preacher–you’re going to get it from Him. Other people may confirm the message, but you have to seek Him out yourself. The key to receiving vision is that you first of all look to Jesus Christ–not the past Jesus, but the present Jesus.
What does the Bible say about receiving a heavenly vision?

Are You the source of your own vision?
If you are the source of your vision, then you are the Lord of your life and then you are your own saviour and that means your vision is limited to your ability and God is ruled out. It is source that determines size.
