How does Image Comics make money?
Image Comics’ policy on profits consists of taking a flat fee (which used to be around 2000$ in early 10s) to cover their expenses and make profit. Everything else goes to the creative team, where it is split between writer, artist, inker, colorist and etc. However, the fee may eat entire profit.
How do I sell my comic book ideas?
Visit a local comic book store, where applicable, and ask about selling your comic on consignment. This means the store won’t pay for your comics outright, but will display them and put aside the profits for you. Stores that do this usually charge a fee, so discuss that up front.

What happens if I submit a proposal to Image Comics?
Do not hand Image Comics employees submissions at comic book conventions. Your submission will be misplaced or discarded. Due to a high volume of submissions we are unable to respond to each proposal individually. If you do not receive a reply within one month of submitting consider your proposal declined.
How do I submit to a comic book magazine?
Include contact information (name, e-mail address, address, phone and fax numbers) clearly printed on the top of the page. Submissions are responded to via e-mail only. A typed, one page, synopsis of the overall story arc ( not just of the first issue).
How much do imageimage Comics pay creators?
Image Comics publishes creator-owned/creator-generated properties and WE DON’T PAY PAGE RATES. Image takes a small flat fee off the books published and it will be the responsibility of the creators to determine the division of the remaining pay between their creative team members. Things often change from proposal to the printed page.
