Can international students apply Early Action to MIT?
We are a non-binding, non-restrictive Early Action school. There is no preference in our process for early applicants. We use the same procedures for admission during EA and RA. MIT limits the number of international undergraduates each year.
Do international students have to apply early?
International students should look to apply early if they require financial aid. During the early action process, the university is starting to allocate its funds to students so applying early would definitely give you an advantage in the financial aid process.
Can I apply to Upenn and MIT early?
You CAN apply Early Decision to Penn and also Early ACTION to MIT. Oddly enough, Penn imposed a weird new rule this year saying that their Early Decision candidates can’t apply Early ACTION to other private institutions.
Can you apply Early Decision to MIT?

Can I apply for early action and regular decision?
If you are deferred via ED or EA, you do not have to reapply. The college will automatically consider you along with the Regular Decision candidates.
Is MIT early action restricted?
Rules and restrictions: Early Action is an option for all applicants, domestic and international. If you choose to apply to MIT during Early Action, we do not place any limits on where else you may apply, nor do we require you to attend if admitted (though we sure hope you do!).
