Did elves or Dwarves come first?
While Tolkien gives us the story of the dwarves creation in pretty clear detail, we aren’t actually told when the elves were created – we know when they awoke, but it’s likely that they had actually been created earlier and placed somewhere to sleep, like Iluvatar did with the dwarves.
