How do I schedule a MIT interview?

How long is an MIT interview?
Typically, interviews last an hour, though they can range from 30 minutes to two hours long. Before you meet with your EC, try to anticipate some of the questions you might be asked. Talk with friends and family about their interview experiences, or read our blog entries about interviews.
Are there interviews for early action?
When do interviews take place? Interviews for Restrictive Early Action applicants occur during the first few weeks of November. Interviews for Regular Decision applicants occur from mid-January to mid-February. During these times, please frequently check the email address you provided on your application.
What is the admission process for MIT?
Our process is a student-centered process, not a school- or region-centered process. This means that we do not read your application along with other students from your school or region to compare you against each other; each applicant stands on their own. We have no quotas by school, state, or region.
What do they ask in MIT interviews?

Why do MIT interviews take place virtually?
That’s why, whenever possible, we offer an interview with a member of the MIT Educational Council, a network of over 5,000 MIT graduates around the world who volunteer to meet with applicants in their home area. To ensure everyone’s health and safety, we will hold all interviews virtually for the 2021–22 application.
Can I come visit MIT on campus?
So, sadly, you can not come visit us on campus for the time being. However, you are welcome to attend one of our online information sessions and campus tours. Information sessions cover a variety of topics including academic and campus life at MIT, as well as the admissions and financial aid processes.
