What is invisible Autism?
The social issues, sensory imbalances, and communication problems can be easily missed if an individual has high functioning autism. Many people only see the current state of a child, and don’t realize the progress made throughout their lifetime. Like all forms of autism, it is an invisible condition.
What happens if you have high functioning autism?
Like all people on the autism spectrum, people who are high functioning have a hard time with social interaction and communication. They don’t naturally read social cues and might find it difficult to make friends. They can get so stressed by a social situation that they shut down.

What is classed as an invisible disability?
Invisible disability, or hidden disability, are defined as disabilities that are not immediately apparent. Some people with visual or auditory disabilities who do not wear glasses or hearing aids, or discreet hearing aids, may not be obviously disabled.
What is a autism spectrum?
A child or adult with autism spectrum disorder may have limited, repetitive patterns of behavior, interests or activities, including any of these signs: Performs repetitive movements, such as rocking, spinning or hand flapping. Performs activities that could cause self-harm, such as biting or head-banging.
