What are we in India proud of?
I am proud to be an Indian because I have the freedom to speak, write and protest against evil doings. We have the right to stand up and fight when we see human cruelty . India is a country where people respect elders. People of India live in peace and harmony.
Do Indians have inferiority complexes?
It is a well-known fact that we Indians have an inferiority complex ingrained in us. Many of us think that anything that is Indian is inferior to whatever is western and whoever thinks otherwise is an ignorant Hindu nationalist and ultra-patriotic moron. It is evident everywhere.
Why should we feel proud of India?
India is a land having many religions. Every religion is equally respected and people are given full liberty to follow and preach their religion. The freedom that we enjoy in India can never be equalised by any other nation across the world. The joint family culture is very unique and specific in India.
What do you like about our country India?
India is a land of different cultures, heritages, many languages and religions. Despite the differences our India is united in its diversity. The people of this country, its beautiful cultures, its languages, the places and the good heart of the Indians make us feel proud that we are born in such a beautiful land.
What does being an Indian mean to you?
But an overwhelming proportion of Indians (82-88 per cent) also say that being “truly Indian” means respecting all religions, respecting the army, respecting the country’s institutions and laws, respecting elders, and standing for the national anthem.
