What do warp nacelles do?
The warp nacelles bend a subspace field (which is technobabble for a non Einsteinian dimension that allows the ship to move beyond light speed). It then shrinks the space in front of the ship and expands the space behind the ship such that the bubble pushes it while the depression pulls it forward.
