There are two different things anime fans are called; ‘weebs’ and ‘otakus’. A weeb is someone who is more social but still a fan of anime, they are considered less “nerdy” in nature and can socialize better than those who shut themselves off from society by watching anime.
Why do I love kpop so much?
Pop music would be nothing without catchy hooks and sing-along lyrics. K pop is no different, making use of melodies that are instantly stuck in your head. Boy and girl groups alike have appealing song writing down to a science, which makes their music appealing to fans no matter what language they speak.

Obviously common things such as music, diverse concepts, multi-talented idols performing for their fans, and great performances are one of the many reasons some people love K-Pop. However, I believe one of the most critical reason why people enjoy K-Pop so much, is because of the connection of K-Pop fans and K-Pop idols.

Here are some of the reasons that I believe attracted me to kpop: Music is a universal language: This is something that I firmly believe in. Dancing: When I first got into kpop I was mesmerized by the dancing these idols do. Talent: It’s obvious that kpop idols are freakin TALENTED. Fan service: Kpop artists know how to treat their fans.
Why is anime so popular among teens?
So anime resonates well with people who value positive thinking and a can-do attitude, especially when thinking about the popular teen-focused categories of shounen and shoujo. These characters who are brimming with positivity and confidence in themselves often appeal mostly to teens and adults who are shy, withdrawn, and lack confidence.
Why do K-pop idols look closer to their fans than they are?
While fan and artist/idol interactions are seen in all music industries, the K-Pop industry pushes this even more by making their idols look closer to their fans than they actually are, which grants K-Pop fans to feel more connected to their idols. A fan can relate more to idols due to delusion of a ‘closeness’ to their idols.
