By far the best thing about UCSB is the atmopshere. By its very nature, it inspires academic succsess involvement in undergraduate research. The professors and TAs are superb and really care about us students, and there are many academic institutions that exist to make undergraduate life the best it can be.

Is UCSB a dry campus?
UC Santa Barbara was ranked the number-one college in the 2020 Princeton Review for students drinking “Lots of Hard Liquor.” Of the more than 60 categories the Princeton Review ranks colleges in, UCSB’s only first-place spot was for the college with the most hard liquor.
Is UCSB test blind?
UCSB will not consider SAT or ACT test scores when making admissions decisions or awarding Regents and Chancellor’s scholarships for applicants through the fall 2024 application cycle.
