In canon and lore, any Dragonborn in Nirn’s history has always been depicted as Man, chiefly an Imperial, Breton, or most commonly, a Nord. The primary reason for this is because Kynareth pitied Man during the Dragon War, and called upon Paarthunax to teach ancient Atmorans the Thu’um.
