The House of Da Vinci is about as close to The Room and its sequels as you can get without it being developed by Fireproof Games. This one is for those who really, really can’t wait for the next in The Room series. House of Da Vinci is a high-quality game that will definitely feed your need for a good puzzle solver.

At the end of Machinarium, the mechanical protagonist Josef climbs a large tower to which the Black Hat Gang has strapped a bomb. He uses a roll of toilet paper – why do robots need toilet paper? – to rappel down the tower and defuse the bomb before continuing on his way.

The puzzles aren’t terribly hard — I would say they’re mostly just challenging enough — and the game includes a fun little hint system, too, which I found helpful on more than one occasion. I definitely recommend it. You can get it for $10 DRM free, and I’m sure it goes on sale pretty often.
