Wargaming claims they were modelled after “plans provided by the Chinese partners”, but apart from Wargaming staff noone has ever seen those plans, so it’s completely possible these tanks might be Wargaming inventions or even fake stuff fabricated by their Chinese partner.

Each nations vehicle have their own pros and cons. And yes, some vehicles are actually pretty damn bad (have mercy on my soul, T-26–4!). But none of the US tanks I would say could be classified as “bad”, they’re all very capable and comfortable tanks to use. They definitely aren’t bad.
