Anime is slow mostly because these days they are fitting in 1-2 chapters of the manga per episode. When its one chapter per 20 minutes in the anime they need to buy time in that episode. I find it better this way because it almost guarantees the anime won’t catch up to the manga meaning no need for allot of fillers.
