Why is the stark Sigil a direwolf?
Direwolves make extra sense as the sigil of House Stark because wolves are often found in colder climates – and the North is definitely cold. Furthermore, wolves are resourceful enough to survive in such harsh weather, another quality that one might like to have associated with one’s family.
