Why it is not necessary to write AM or PM in the 24 hour clock system?
It should be understood that 24 hour clock time (AM) starts at midnight (0001) and until noon (1200). PM starts at 1201 until midnight 2400. So no indication as to AM/PM is necessary. PM= Post Meridiem meaning after Noon, so anytime after noon is PM.

Why do we use AM and PM instead of military time?
Why do we use the a.m.-p.m. system for telling time? Early mechanical clocks showed all 24 hours, but over time, clockmakers found the 12-hour system simpler and cheaper. Of course, a.m. stands for ante meridiem, which is Latin for “before midday.” And p.m. means post meridiem — “after midday.”

How do you write AM and pm on a 24-hour clock?
When we use the 24 hour clock there is no need to write AM or PM. eg. 01.00 = 1 AM, one o’clock in the morning 17.00 = 5 PM, five o’clock in the afternoon 23.00 = 11 PM, eleven o’clock in the evening, or at night
Is it correct to write 0AM or 0pm?
It is incorrect to write 0:00p.m. The use of 0:00 implies a 24-hour clock system, while the use of A.M. and P.M. implies a 12-hour clock system. Therefore, it is absolutely wrong to use both together. The 12-hour clock divides the day into two parts, 12 hours each.
Should AM and Pm be set at the same time every day?
If you’re using the 24-hour clock, 19:00 PM would be 19 o’clock after noon. But that brings us to the next day (19 hours starting from the first hour of the period after noon that day = 7AM the next day). By this logic, I think AM and PM should be compulsorily (not optionally) left off 24-hour times.
