Can you run electric and cable together?
The National Electric Code NEC (as defined in NFPA 70) in general sets a minimum separation of 2 inches between communications and electric power cabling unless there is a physical barrier between them such as a raceway (NFPA article 800-52).
Can you run coax and power in same conduit?
(1) In Raceways, Cable Trays, and Boxes. Coaxial cable shall not be placed in any raceway, compartment, outlet box, junction box, or other enclosures with conductors of electric light, power, Class 1, non–power-limited fire alarm, or medium-power network-powered broadband communications circuits.
Is it OK to run speaker wire next to electrical wire?
It is really okay to run speaker wires along power wires.
Does power cable affect coaxial?
To keep electrical interference from your coaxial cabling, keep coaxial cables and coaxial cable splitters at least six inches from electrical cables. Electrical cables include television, appliance and computer power cables as well as any electrical wires in wall cavities.

There is no technical reason not to run fiber cable and low voltage (110~220v) electrical cables in the same conduit, it’s done regularly. you must obey codes.
Is it safe to run ethernet cables parallel to electrical wires?
Anecdotal evidence from some (well meaning) individuals say running Ethernet cables or coaxial cable in parallel to electrical at closer distances causes no harm. In their case it likely did not or it went unnoticed at first, because the electrical wire was not being pushed to its amperage limit.
Is it OK to run CAT5 and CAT6 wires side by side?
My research indicates that is should be fine if they are in separate conduits or if the CAT cables are shielded. While a shielded Cat5/6 cable is designed to protect itself from outside interferance, it isn’t recommended to run them side-by-side to your electrical wiring.
Can I co-exist with standard electrical wiring in my home?
This is not an issue if it is installed on it’s own or alongside SELV equipment (60V max from a transformer: Ethernet cables, Alarm cables, LED lighting strips etc) but causes problems when you try to cohabit with standard electric wiring.
